Youth injured after being thrown off bridge in Bishnah

JAMMU, Dec 9: A 24-year-old youth sustained severe injuries after he was thrown off a bridge over an old rivalry by a group of people in Bishnah area here.
Paras Kumar son of Pawan Kumar of Pure Chak, Phallain Mandal, Jammu, was chased by a group of people, who were carrying sharp-edged weapons, from his home and stopped at Mehmood Nagar on the Ring Road, where he was thrown off a bridge, resulting in severe injuries to the youth, said a police official.
With both legs fractured, he was immediately taken to Sub-District Hospital Bishnah, where after preliminary treatment, he was referred to Government Medical College Jammu, he said.
The police official said that Paras was further taken to a hospital in Amritsar later in the day after being referred from GMC Jammu.
Police have booked the accused in case FIR number 207/2024 under sections 109/115/191 BNS and 4/25 Arms Act registered at Police Station Bishnah and started further investigation.
No person was arrested by the police by the press time.
