SAMBA, Sept 22: One youth who was on way to Mansar from Kashmir along with his cattle was killed after a truck hit him and his horse at Charawa near Mansar in Samba district today.
Both of them died on spot. He has been identified as Makhdum, 14, son of Gulzar of Sangwali Jatwal. The dead body of the youth was shifted to DH Samba for postmortem. The police has registered a case under relevant sections of the law.
In another accident at Jammu -Pathankot National Highway at Bari Brahmana a driver and helper after a truck bearing number MP 7-HB-2739 stopped on road side and hit a Tatamobile JK 11-A resulting into the injury of driver and helper of Tata Mobile who have been shifted to GMC for treatment.
Meanwhile a youth of Smailpur was hospitalized after consuming some poisonous substance at his residence today under mysterious circumstances.
He has been identified as Amandeep, 16, Son of Lucky. He has been taken to GMC for treatment where his condition is stated to be serious.
