SRINAGAR, Sept 28: The Department of Youth Services and Sports (YSS) J&K organized its Annual Leadership Training Camp for students of the Government College of Physical Education, Ganderbal. This year’s camp contingent was officially flagged off by the Director General of the YSS Department, Rajinder Singh Tara, from the Directorate of YSS premises in Wazirbagh.
The ceremony was attended by senior faculty members from the college and officials from the YSS Department. The contingent, consisting of 65 enthusiastic boys and girls from the 4th semester of BPEd, will embark on a 12-day journey to the serene location of Patnitop.
During the flag-off, Director General Tara highlighted the significance of such training camps in shaping the lives of young individuals. He expressed hope that the students would take full advantage of the opportunity to learn valuable life lessons that will aid in their personal and professional growth. “These camps are instrumental in developing leadership qualities and fostering a sense of responsibility among youth,” he stated.
Director General convened a meeting with the field staff to discuss the importance of youth registration on the My Bharat Portal. He urged attendees to ensure that every young person is registered on the portal, which serves as a single-window system for accessing various youth-oriented Government schemes.
