New Delhi, Mar 6:
Indian boxing’s bench strength would be put to test in the 44th Chemistry Cup for men in Halle, Germany where a new-look 10-member team will be aiming to make an impression.
Featuring some of the national champions crowned just over a couple of months ago in Guwahati, the 10-strong team does not feature any of the regulars.
The boxers for the event have been selected from the camp which is being conducted in Aurangabad under the tutelage of Shiv Singh, one of the two chief coaches assigned with the men boxers.
The light flyweight (49kg) division features Amit Panghal, who won a bronze medal at last month’s 68th Strandja Memorial Tournament in Bulgaria. (PTI)
