BHADERWAH, June 14: Outplaying their rivals in easy contests, Youth ‘B’ Bhaderwah and Youth ‘A’ Bhaderwah advanced into the next round of the ongoing 2nd Edition of Champions Trophy T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Rashtriya Rifles located at Bhaderwah, under the aegis of the Counter Insurgency Force (Delta) and Youth Combined Cricket Club Bhaderwah at Degree College Ground, here.
Earlier, in the first match, Youth ‘B’ got better of Rising Star by 3 wickets. Batting first, Rising Star scored 138 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 8 wickets in the process. Bilawal scored magnificent 55 runs, while Anam contributed 15 runs to the total. For Youth B, Sajid took 2 important wickets.
In reply, Youth B chased the target in 18.3 overs by losing 7 wickets, thus won the match by 3 wickets. Sajid and Subash contributed 39 and 21 runs to the total respectively.
For Rising Star, Bilawal bagged 3 wickets. Sajid was declared Bajaj Allianz man of the match.
In another match, Youth A beat Sartingle Club by 3 wickets. Batting first, Sartingle scored 140 runs in the stipulated 20 overs by losing 8 wickets. Danish top scored with 55 runs, while Naved contributed 25 runs to the total. For Youth A, Sharoz, Mudasir and Jamshed scalped 2 wickets each.
In reply, Youth A chased the target in 17.3 overs by losing 7 wickets, thus won the match by 3 wickets. Ashfaq, Mudasir and Waqar contributed 38, 30 and 22 runs to the total respectively. For Sartingle, Danish claimed 2 wickets each. Danish was declared man of the match.
The matches were officiated by Usman and Tayib as umpires, while Faisal was the scorer.
