YSCC scripts narrow win over UCC; enters final

JAMMU, Dec 29: Young Star Cricket Club (YSCC) Simbal defeated United Cricket Jammu by 2 wickets to seal berth in the finals of the ongoing Mahant Bachhitter Singh Memorial T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Simbal Welfare Association at Government High School, Simbal, here.
Earlier, batting first, UCC scored 113 runs, with Sahil scoring 53 runs, while MP Singh and Chamkor contributing 19 and 17 runs to the total respectively. For YSC, Gagandeep Singh was the wrecker-in-chief who scalped 5 important wickets, while Sandeep Singh claimed 2 and Sham and Monty shared one wicket each.
In reply, YSC, scored the required runs in 18.5 overs by losing 8 wickets to win the match by 2 wickets. Palvinder topscored with 29 runs, while Aerak, Harvinder and Harsheet contributed 22, 17 and 13 runs to the winning cause respectively. Danny bagged 3 wickets for UCC, while Raja took 2 wickets. Aman, Kuldip and Chamkor shared one wicket apiece. Palvinder was declared man of the match.
Raj Kumar, Sarpanch Miran Sahib, was the chief guest in today’s proceedings.
The match was officiated by Kulbir Singh Kali and Bablu as umpires, while Swaran Singh was the scorer.
