Srinagar, May 10: The Department of Youth Services and Sports (YSS) J&K organized a thrilling Inter School Handball and Football Competitions in district Bandipora. The event, held at NM BHSS Kaloosa, witnessed the enthusiastic participation of hundreds of students from various schools, showcasing their exceptional talents and competitive spirit.
With an aim to nurture budding athletes and provide them with a platform to excel, the competitions catered to the U-14 and U-17 age categories. Under the vigilant supervision of YSS officials and selectors, the participants displayed remarkable skills and sportsmanship throughout the event. As the selectors meticulously observed the performances, they aimed to identify and groom promising talents for higher levels of competition.
Jatinder Singh, DYSSO Bandipora expressed satisfaction with the level of talent exhibited by the young athletes, stating, “These competitions serve as a stepping stone for our students to progress towards district and national-level competitions. We are committed to provide them with the necessary support and encouragement to realize their potential in the field of sports.”
