JAMMU, May 24: J&K BJP Vice President Yudhvir Sethi today distributed BP machines among the party workers to help needy people in case of any emergency during lockdown, here.
The BP machines were distributed in the second phase among corporators and party workers in presence of Purnima Sharma, Deputy Mayor JMC, Kuldeep Khandari, District General Secretary; Corporators Anil Massom and Narottam Sharma; Parveen Kerni President, BJP Jammu East Mandal; Nitish Mahajan Executive Member JK BJP and VP BJYM JK UT, Hari Om.
Purnima Sharma appreciated the efforts of Yudhvir for providing BP machines so that the needy people may not feel any inconvenience amidst lockdown.
She said that BJP is at forefront in tacking COVID-19 crisis in the Jammu and Kashmir and stated party was doing great service in serving the people of the Union Territory during the crisis.
She appealed the people to cooperate with the administration and not to come out of their homes as together we can achieve the desired results and make nation free from COVID-19.
She also hailed the measures taken by the Government with regard to the fight against the deadly COVID- 19.
Yudhvir said that BJP followed teachings of Swami Vivekananda, who gave the mantra of ‘Nar Seva Narayan Seva’ and BJP strictly adhered to this principle. “Those who serve the needy are true philanthropists. All live for themselves but those who come forward to help others are true human beings,” he added.
He said that the BP machines were provided to corporators and party workers of different wards of Jammu city so that during an emergency amidst lockdown they could provide necessary support to the people of their respective wards.
He reiterated that BJP was providing all necessary assistance to needy people in the hour of crisis.
Parveen Kerni said that the way the people of the country have supported to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has brought a new hope to the nation in its fight against Coronavirus.
Among others who were present included District General Secretary Kuldeep Kandhari, District Additional Media Secretary Sanjeev Sawhney, Mandal Vice Presidents Vinod Gupta, Rajesh Nischal and Arun Sethi, Mandal General Secretary Vipan Sharma, Mandal Secretary Suresh Bharti, Mandal Office Secretary Ved Padha, Mandal Additional Publicity Secretary Amit Khanna and Mandal Additional Treasurer Vaneet Gupta.
