KARGIL, June 13: Executive Councilor Works, Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council, Kargil Mubarak Shah Naqvi attended the concluding ceremony of Zonal Level School Tournament at Drass organized by Zonal Physical Education Department Drass.
The final match of Volleyball was played between High school Muradbagh and High School Himabas in which High School Muradbagh emerged victorious and lifted the trophy.
Executive Councilor Mubarak Shah Naqvi advised the participants to take active part in games and sports and make it a profession. Moreover, the chief guest stressed the Department to conduct more such games for young people so as to prepare them for participation in national and international events.
The tournament started on June 1 in which nearly 800 students from different Higher Secondary Schools, High Schools and Middle Schools participated in U-19, U-17 and U-14 in Volleyball, Handball, Football and Athletic events. In the end, the chief guest distributed prizes and certificates to the winner and runner-up teams.
