Jammu, Feb 16: Zorawar Hockey Club defeated Deshmesh Hockey Club by three goals to two (3-2) in a close contest of the ongoing Senior Hockey Tournament, being organized by Hockey J&K at KK Hakhu Astroturf Hockey Stadium, here.
The Tournament is being sponsored by the J&K State Sports Council.
In an exciting contest, the first goal for Zorawar Club was pelted by Vinod Kumar in 10th minute, the goal by Anoop Singh in 36th minute and the 3rd goal was again netted by Vinod Kumar in 39th minute. For Deshmesh Club, Agamdeep Singh scored the first goal in 2nd minute of the match and another goal was pelted by Sarabjit Singh in 47th minute of the math.
The match was officiated by Karanjit Singh, Manjeet Singh, Jagjeet Singh, M S Reen and G S Bakshi.
The second match between Ajit Club Gole Gujral and Young Star Simbal Camp scheduled for the day was postponed due to inclement weather conditions. The match will be played at the same venue on February 18, 2015.
