Zulfkar conducts extensive tour of far-flung belt of Rajouri

JAMMU, Apr 24: Reiterating the commitment of the alliance to provide good governance for fulfilling aspirations of the people, Minister for CA&PD and Tribal Affairs, Ch. Zulfkar Ali said that the vision document of alliance will firmly steer the State on the path of progress and development.
The Minister said this while addressing a public meeting during his visit to Peeri, Rajouri here today.
Laying stress on zero tolerance for corruption, Minister said that favouritism, nepotism, political interference during previous regime has plagued the system over the years, adding that now the present Government has devised a comprehensive policy to make the system accountable wherein the competent and deserving officers would be encouraged to perform their duties more effectively while the corrupt and dead wood would be shown the door.
Expressing concern over the dilapidated condition of road and shortage of potable water in the area, Minister said that motive of bringing whole district administration here is to apprise them about the difficulties and grievances faced by the inhabitants. In this regard, the Minister directed the Deputy Commissioner to convene grievances redressal camps periodically in all far-flung belts of the district to take first hand appraisal of the problem being face by the people. “Administration should reach out to the people and ensure that better amenities are extended to all “, he added.
Expressing concern over the lack of basic facilities in the area, Minister said that he is well aware about the problems of the people and assured that all out efforts will be made for early redressal of their grievances. Adding that the people will be able to see visible change and growth in every sector.
During his visit scores of deputation met the Minister and expressed hope that their long pending demands would be looked into. The Minister while interacting with the people exhorted that the faith shown by people in democracy would be reinforced and Government will leave no stone unturned in fulfilling its commitment in extending an accountable and responsible administration in the State. He also assured that possibility would be explored for creating block and tehsil at Peeri.
