Cordial relations with neighbours must for peace

JAMMU: Asserting that the whole world is a family, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh today said that better relations with neighbours were must for peace and development in Asian sub-continent.
“We want better and cordial relations with our neighbours,”  Mr Singh said while addressing ITBP jawans after inaugurating new ITBP campus in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Quoting former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee that “dost badal jaate hein par padosi badle nahi jaate,” (friends can change but not the neighbours), the Union Minister said, “India want friendly relations with our neighbours.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also making efforts and initiated talks with China.       “Mr Modi has sought the redressal of various issues along with the dialogue process,” Mr Singh said, adding that India does not believe in expanding boundaries.
“There will be no better relations with China and Pakistan if there is no peace and development in Asian sub-continent,” he asserted and said dialogue was the only medium to establish peace. (AGENCIES)
