SRINAGAR : Polling is yet to pick up in Srinagar parliamentary constituency, where only 0.74 per cent voters have exercised their franchise till 0900 hrs. Many polling stations in Srinagar constituency, spread over three districts of Srinagar, Badgam and Ganderbal consisting 15 Assembly segments, were yet to receive first voter. Polling, which started at 0700 hrs, will continue till 1700 hrs. However, the authorities said that the polling will pick up as the day progresses. Meanwhile, massive clashes between security forces and anti-polling protestors were going on in central Kashmir district of Budgam, while internet services of all cellular companies, including Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) Broadband, have been snapped in the valley since midnight yesterday.
