1.32 Kg cannabis seized, 2 smugglers arrested

UDHAMPUR, Dec 11: Police today seized 1.32 kg of cannabis from two narcotic smugglers who were apprehended near Tikri Naka Point, Udhampur.
Riding a motor cycle bearing registration number JK02AG-1360, the accused drug peddlers were coming from Udhampur towards Jammu when they were stopped at Tikri, this afternoon.
During search, Police recovered 1.32 Kg cannabis from their possession following which both the accused were arrested on the spot. They were identified as Sanjay Kumar alias Sanju Baba, son of Narinder Kumar of Hartyan, Jib Sunari, Udhampur and Firoz Ahmed Bhat, son of Ali Mohd Bhat of Zadoora Hastikund Distt Pulwama.
In this connection, case FIR number 292/2022 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Rehambal. The success was achieved by a Police party of Police Post Tikri, headed by PSI Abdul Satar ( IC PP Tikri), under the supervision of SHO Rehambal, Inspector Rajesh Sharma and DySP Hqrs Udhampur, Sahil Mahajan.
