POONCH, Nov 8: One person was killed while two others were injured when a car fell into a gorge in Bafliaz area of Surankote Sub Division in Poonch district today.

Official sources said that mishap took place when the ill-fated ECO vehicle, bearing registration No. JK02AA/ 3887, driven by Nazarat Hussain, Mohd Farooq, hailing from Mastandra was on way to Bafliaz from Traranwali. The driver lost control over the vehicle and it landed into nearly 50 meters deep gorge.
While driver Nazarat Hussain (26) was killed on the spot two persons namely- Chandni Nazir (22), wife of Mohd Tasleem Arif, resident of Draba and Mohsin Ahmed (24), son of Mohd Bashir, resident of Mastandra were injured in the incident and were shifted to SDH, Surankote.
Driver’s body was later shifted to Surankote hospital for postmortem. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
