Srinagar, June 26: One person has died and five others were injured in different road accidents across the Valley.
A police spokesman said a Maruti van JK05C-0634 on way from Tangmarg to Kreeri skidded off the road at village Sheikhpora in Kreeri, resulting in on spot death of driver Fayaz Ahmad Bhat son of Ghulam Rasool of Kreeri and injuries to Ishfaq Ahmad Mir of Kreeri.
The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment.
A Sumo JK01P/4448 on way from Kupwara to Kalaroos collided with a Scooter JK09/3406 at Madmadave Kalaroos, resulting in injuries to two persons Irshad Ahmed Wani of Madmadave and Shafat Ahmed Lone of Putshaie. Both the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment.
In another accident, Swift car JK03B/1328 hit and injured two pedestrians Mst Rafiqa of Khudwani and Tufail Ahmed Hajam of Krangsoo on K.P road near Bilal Colony in Anantnag. Both the injured have been shifted to Hospital for treatment. The spokesman said police has registered cases in these accidents.
