Srinagar, July 9: A lady died while six others were injured in different road accidents in the Valley, police said today.
A police spokesman said that a Tipper hit a lady namely Shameeda Akhter of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district at Awantipora which resulted in her on spot death.
In another incident, an SRTC Bus turned turtle at Wusan along National Highway which resulted in the injuries to Reyaz Ahmad Bhat and Asifa Tariq Kangan Check of Ganderbal district. The injured were rushed to SKIMS Soura for treatment and a case has been registered in this regard, the spokesman said.
A Tata 407 vehicle skidded off the road at Bandzoo in Pulwama district resulting in injuries to the driver. He was shifted to hospital and a case has been registered in this regard, the police spokesman said.
In another incident, a car and a load carrier collided at Boonura in district Pulwama which resulted in injuries to both the drivers driving their vehicles respectively.
“Both the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment,” the police spokesman said, adding, a case has been registered in this regard.
