JAMMU, Nov 8: A labourer today died due to electrocution at its work place in Bari Brahamana area of Samba district while a PDD employee also received burn injuries due to electric shock at Sunderbani.
According to a police spokesperson, the man identified as Shibajeet (30) son of Ram Changar, a resident of Faizabad in UP (at present Bari Brahamana) inadvertently came in contact with a live wire at Sudhir Chand Generator factory at Bari Brahamana and received serious burn injuries.
In unconscious condition he was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, where doctors declared him as brought dead.
A case in this regard has been registered at police station Bari Brahamana and investigation started.
In another case, a PDD employee while doing restoration work of electricity at Neela Dag area of Banpuri Field in Sunderbani received 10% burn injuries when he came in contact with a live wire. He was immediately shifted by his co-workers to sub-district hospital, Sunderbani, from where later he was referred to GMCH for advanced treatment.
A case in this regard has been registered at police station Sunderbani.
