JAMMU, Oct 4: One person was injured when a clash broke out between two groups of contractors over tenders in Civil Secretariat Complex here this afternoon.
According to a police spokesperson, two group of contractors today exchanged heated words over an issue of tenderization in the Civil Secretariat Complex and the situation soon took an ugly turn following which the accused identified as Pallav Sharma son of Kuldeep Raj and resident of Panjtirthi, hit one of the contractors namely Karan Dev Singh son of Thakur Roop Singh of Panjtirthi with a piece of glass in his head.
The profusely bleeding Karan Dev Singh was immediately shifted to Sarwal Hopital from where he was later discharged after providing treatment.
He said a case FIR No 152, Oct 4, 2014 under Sections 341, 323 and 447 of RPC was registered at Police Station Pacca Danga and the accused arrested, adding however, the accused was bailed out late in the evening.
