KATRA, Apr 21: A motorcycle borne youth died while two others sustained serious injuries in collision of two bikes, here today.
The accident took place near Katra Railway Station where two motorcycles bearing registration numbers JK20B- 4706 and JK14K- 3881 collided head-on, resulting in the death of one person and injuries to two others.
The deceased was identified as Veer Kumar (22), son of Pritam Chand, resident of Jungle Gali, Udhampur. He was critically injured in the accident and was rushed to CHC Katra, where doctors declared him as brought dead.
Two others, who sustained injuries, were identified as Sanjay Sharma (19), son of Kasturi Lal, and Nitesh Sharma (25), son of Thodu Ram, both residents of Malair, Pouni. After receiving first aid at CHC Katra, they were referred to GMC Jammu for further treatment.
