JAMMU:One person was today killed and two others were washed away when their vehicle skidded off the road and fell into a river in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said.
The incident occurred around 10:25 AM when they were on there way to Mandi from Jammu and their car skidded off the road and fell into a river at Timbra, police said.
In the mishap, one person was killed and one other was injured while two persons were swept away by the strong current of water in the river, they said.
The injured has been admitted to district hospital in Poonch, they said.
An operation has been launched to rescue the duo, they said, adding that efforts are on to identify the victims. (AGENCIES)
