AKHNOOR, Dec 28: One person was killed in car accident a Rah Salyot near Bhamla while at least 25 persons were injured in a bus accident at Akhnoor late this evening.
A police spokesman said that one Safdar Hussain (30), son of Noor Hussain, resident of Dhar Galoon in Mendhar was killed on the spot while his associate, Amtiaz Ali seriously hurt after their van was hit with a tipper near Rah Salyot in Bhamla at around 7.30 pm today. SHO Sunderbani, Devinder Kaoch rushed to the spot and shifted the dead body to local hospital while injured was referred to GMC Hospital, Jammu.
At least 20 persons were injured after a bus No. JK02K/2757 rammed into a shop and a stationary car near Kamshewar temple at Akhnoor at around 7.15 pm today. All the injured were removed to Akhnoor Hospital where seriously injured bus driver, Kuldip Singh of Akhnoor was referred to GMC Hospital Jammu. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
