1 killed, 6 injured in road mishaps

UDHAMPUR, May 27: In separate road accidents, here today, a boy was killed while six persons got injured, some of them seriously.
A 15-year old boy died and two others got injured when an auto rolled down into deep gorge near village Sanari, this evening. The auto, bearing registration number JK14C-2499, was on way from Jib to Sanari when it met with the accident.
Police and locals rushed to the spot and took the injured persons to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors declared one of them as brought died. The deceased was identified as Rohit Kumar (15) son of Charan Dass of Jib. The injured were identified as Auto driver Raju (40) son of Shonku Ram of Jib and his 4- year old daughter, Gujan Devi.
In another road accident, three persons riding on a motorcycle, were hit by a truck near Nand Palace, Dhar road Udhampur. The injured were identified as Jagdev Kumar, son of Kirpa Ram of Pathi, Kali Dass, son of Gopi Ram of Rathian, Bansi Lal, son of Bindru Ram of Pathi. They have been admitted in DH Udhampur.
Meanwhile, an elderly woman was injured when a speeding car hit her near Chenani Morh, Dhar road. The woman, identified as Shanti Devi (60) wife of Tarsam Lal of Kashrha Udhampur, was walking on the roadside when Alto car, bearing registration number JK14C-9346 hit her.
