SRINAGAR, July 28: One person was killed and 7 others injured in different road accident across the Valley, a police spokesman said.
The spokesman said a Santro car, JK05C/0636, hit and injured a pedestrian, Reyaz Ahmad, 11, of Shangergund, Daligund near Chatroosa crossing in Sopore town. Reyaz was shifted to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Two persons travelling in a Maruti car, JK02F/5529, were injured when the car met with an accident near an Army Camp in Beerwa, police said. The spokesman said the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment.
A Maruti car, JK01G/2645, skidded off the road near TCP in Kupwara district, resulting in injuries to two persons who were travelling in the car. Both the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment, the spokesman said.
A bus, JKF/0934, hit and injured Saif-ud-Din Khan, 70, son of Mohammad Yousuf Khan of a Dewar, Lolab at General Bus stand Kupwara. Khan was shifted to a hospital for treatment, the spokesman added.
In another accident, an Alto car, JK01J/3935, hit and injured a child, Zeenat Bashir, 4, daughter of Bashir Ahmad Bhat of Sheikh Zoo Ganderbal near Shilwat National Highway. The injured child was hospitalized, the spokesman said.
A Tata 407 load carrier, JK01C/8676, hit and injured a pedestrian near JVC Hospital in Bemina. The injured was shifted to hospital, the spokesman added.
An unknown vehicle hit and injured Mohammad Hussain constable of JKAP 9th BN posted at Haj House Bemina near JVC. The Injured was shifted to SKIMS, Soura, for treatment, the spokesman added.
