1 killed, 9 injured in road accidents

Srinagar, Oct 26: One person was killed and nine others injured in different road accidents across the Valley today.
A police spokesman said a motorcyclist was critically injured when an Alto car bearing registration number JK01L/2349 hit his motorcycle bearing registration number JK01F/4720 near PMGSY Office, Rajbagh. The motorcyclist Haziq Hussain Bhat, son of Ghulam Hassan of Sanat-Nagar was shifted to SKIMS Soura where he succumbed to his injuries.
An unknown vehicle hit and injured a pedestrian Feroz Ahmad Wani, son of Mohammad Maqbool Wani resident of Khanmoo, Srinagar at Semthan, Sangam in district Anantnag. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment.
The spokesman said a Tanker bearing registration number JK05B/1024 hit an Auto bearing registration number JK04/4394 at Sanat-Nagar. Three persons including an auto driver were injured in this accident. All the injured were shifted to Hospital for treatment.
A  Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK04B/1862 and a Motorcycle bearing registration number JK01K/6123 collided at Hardu-Surush, Khag Budgam, resulting in injuries to Motorcyclist and a Pillion rider. Both the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment.
Two trucks and a Tipper collided near Nepora on National Highway, in the jurisdiction police station Qazigund, resulting in injuries to a conductor of truck Parshotam Singh, son Roop Singh resident of Ferozpora, Punjab. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment. Qazigund Police has registered a case in this regard.
An Auto bearing registration number JK05C/4291 collided with a motorcycle bearing registration number JK05C/2758 near Amarpora, Sopore, resulting in injuries to a motorcyclist Manzoor Ahmad and a pillion rider Shahzad Ahmad Dar residents of Boniyar. Both the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment.
