Srinagar, Dec 20: One person was killed and another injured in a road accident in Achabal in Anantnag district.
A police spokesman said an unknown vehicle hit and injured two pedestrian Mohammad Ashraf Wani son of Abdul Gani and Arsalan Bashir Wani son of Bashir Ahmad Wani residents of Akingam at Akingam, Anantnag.
Both the injured were shifted to District Hospital, where Arsalan Bashir succumbed to his injuries. Mohammad Ashraf has been referred to Srinagar, hospital for treatment.
The spokesman said the vehicle escaped from the spot taking advantage of darkness. Police has registered a case in this regard.
