10 bovines rescued, 2 held

JAMMU, June 28: Police today seized a truck and rescued 10 bovine animals from it at Bantalab under the jurisdiction of Nagrota police station. Two bovine smugglers were arrested from the truck.
Police intercepted the truck No. 9381 JK02R this morning. Ten bovine animals were being smuggled in the truck from Jammu to Srinagar, which were rescued by police.
The truck has been seized, police said, adding two bovine smugglers were arrested from the vehicle. They have been identified as Sham Lal son of Sain Lal R/o Talab Tillo and Hussain Ali son of Chirag Din Gujjar R/o Muralian.
A case has been registered against the accused at Nagrota police station.
Police parties headed by SHO Nagrota Inspector Pervez Sajjad made the arrests under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Khaliq Choudhary.
