10-day Sanyas Diksha Mahotsav begins at Patanjali Sanyashram

JAMMU, Mar 22: On the occasion of 29th ‘Sanyas Divas’ of Swami Ramdev Ji Maharaj, 10-day Sanyas Diksha Mahotsav commenced today at Patanjali Sanyashram.
During the Mahotsav, around 40 female scholars and 60 male scholars will take ‘diksha of Sanyas’ from Swami Ramdev on the auspicious day of Ramnavmi. On the occasion, Swami Govind Giri Maharaj (treasurer of Shri Ram Janambhoomi Trith Sthan) said that more than 15000 scholars from Patanjali Yogpeeth have showed interest in taking diksha of Sanyas and 500 of them also expressed their interest in taking ‘Brahmcharya’.
Speaking on the occasion, Swami Ramdev said that on the day of Ramnavmi, these scholars will take ‘Sanyas diksha’ with the Purnahuti of Mahaparayan Yagna. He said in Patanjali, there is no discrimination in scholars on the basis of gender, religion, caste and community and after taking ‘Sanyas diksha’ all these scholars will spread ‘Sanatan Dharm’ in the whole world.
Acharya Balkrishna said that to keep the Vedic tradition alive, Patanjali is operating many Vedic Gurukuls, wherein irrespective of their gender, religion, caste and community, hundreds of youth are taking education of ancient scriptures and after taking ‘Sanyas’ these youth will work to spread ‘Sanatan Dharm’ in the entire world.
The 10-day programme will be attended by top saints of the country including Swami Govind Dev Giri Ji Maharaj, Kasherni Pithadheeshwar Guru Sharnanand Ji Maharaj, RSS leader Mohan Bhagwat, Home Minister Amit Shah and chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath Ji.
