JAMMU, July 13: 10-day workshop on “Promotion of Art and Craft” which was organized by Department of Lifelong Learning, University of Jammu in collaboration with Department of Commerce and Buddha Art and Painting Studio, concluded here today.
Employment Information cum Advisory Bureau of DLL coordinated the initiative along with Buddha Art and Painting Studio.
The valedictory function was attended by Dr Jeevan Jyoti, Director, Department of Lifelong Learning; Nagar Mal Gupta, Secretary Ved Mandir Committee; Suresh Kumar, President; Amita Sharma, Vice- President; Alok Sharma, Joint Secretary; Seema Magotra, Headmistress, Ved Mandir School; Dr Tarsem Lal, Incharge, Extension and Outreach Activities, Department of Commerce; Dr Rewa Khajuria, Counsellor, EIAB, DLL; Sanjogita Dogra, Founder Buddha Art and Painting Studio and Rekha Sharma, Art teacher.
In her address, Dr Jeevan Jyoti motivated the students with her life stories. She also assured the committee members for all type of help and support from the department as well from her own self.
Nagarmal, Suresh Kumar and Alok in their addresses appreciated the efforts of Department of Lifelong Learning and Department of Commerce for such activities for the students. While giving feedback, students very enthusiastically stressed on the need of such skill development programmes for them. In the end, the participation certificates were also distributed among the students.
