ANANTNAG, June 27: Ten days All India Yoga Shiksha Shivir with participation from various States and UT’s of India is going on within “Shri Ramakrishna Mahasammelan Ashram – Vivekananda Kendra”, Nagdandi under the guidance of Ravi Sharma, All India Yoga Pramukh.
The participants besides Yoga Aasanas shall get enlightened about Yoga types, Abhyas, Pranayama, applications and advantages. The important Shivir shall conclude on July 4 and the participants will be taken one day out for “Kashmir Darshan” to enjoy the beauty of Valley, understand it’s ethos, culture and composite culture.
Briefing the media persons about the activates of the Kendra the chairman of the Administrative Committee, Nagdandi, B L Bhat said the Ashram Management recently organised its 26th Annual Bhandara Service” from 12-06- 2024 to 16-06-2024 within Tulamulla and Central University Kashmir, Ganderbal, premises It is a “spiritually oriented service” being organised and managed through its “Service Crew” of dedicated selfless Karykartas ,the mission being “Manav Seva -Rashtra Uthan” added Bhat.
Chairman, SRMAVK, Nagdandi said the Kendra plays a key role to promote sanctity and age old ethos – culture. Bhat attributed record presence of Yatries this year in various places of Kashmir to progressive significant normalcy, SRMAVK, Nagdandi is emerging as a “hub of Sanatan Dharma” developed and managed under the patronage of ” Vivekananda Rock Memorial & Vivekananda Kendra”, Kanyakumari through its activities like “Navreh, Durga Ashtami -Ramnavmi, International Yoga Day, Yog Shiksha Shivir, personality development course, spiritual retreat – Prashikshan Shivir, National Youth Day and various festivities under Kendra, Yog, Swadhyay and Sanakar Varg essential for “man making and nation building”. Such activities besides spiritual gains facilitate connection of displaced back to their “roots” in Kashmir, promoting normalcy, peace and prosperity within Valley contributory to intra – Inter Integration from Kashmir to Kanyakumari.
As a “multidimensional project” besides infrastructure development Ashram also developed the density apple and walnut orchards taking Ashram to “self generation” and serving as “demonstrative blocks” for the farming community.
