554 test +ve, tally crosses 40,000

Srinagar, Sept 4: Ten patients died in Kashmir due to Coronavirus taking the Jammu and Kashmir death toll of such patients to 758 while 554 tested positive in Valley taking the J&K tally beyond 40000.
Those who died today include a 65-year-old man from Awantipora Pulwama, a 70-year-old man from Rangwar Baramulla, a 60-year-old man from Litter Pulwama, a 70-year-old man from Hyhama Kupwara and a 53-year-old man from Ellahibagh Srinagar.
A patient, a 65-year-old man from Awantipora Pulwama who was admitted to SMHS Hospital on August 30 with bilateral pneumonia died today.
A patient, 70-year-old man from Rangwar Baramulla, who was admitted on August 3 to SMHS Hospital died today.
Another patient, a 60-year-old man from Litter Pulwama, who was admitted on August 27 with chest infection died at SMHS today.
A 70-year-old man from Hyhama Kupwara who was admitted to SKIM Medical College Hospital Bemina on September 3 died last night.
A 53-year-old man from Ellahibagh Srinagar who was admitted on August 24 to SKIM Soura died today.
Two more deaths from Srinagar, one from Baramulla and two from Kupwara were included in media bulletin on Friday.
With fresh deaths, the death toll in J&K has reached to 758 including 677 from Kashmir division 677.
Kashmir valley today reported 554 fresh cases of COVID-19 including four minors, a doctor and a pregnant woman taking J&K tally to 40990.
Srinagar reported 175 cases, Baramulla 61, Pulwama 34, Budgam 78, Anantnag 48, Bandipora 34, Kupwara 69, Kulgam 21, Shopian 4 and Ganderbal 30.
Srinagar has 9810 positive cases with 1388 active positive, 8191 recovered, 231 deaths; Baramulla has 2937 positive cases with 506 active positive, 2328 recovered, 103 deaths; Pulwama reported 2767 positive cases with 451 active cases, 2260 recovered, 56 deaths; Kulgam has 1982 positive cases with 125 active, 1820 recoveries, 37 deaths; Shopian has 1735 positive cases with 96 active, 1611 recovered, 28 deaths; Anantnag district has 2464 positive cases with 480 active, 1932 recovered, 52 deaths; Budgam has 2722 positive cases with 673 active, 1985 recovered and 64 deaths; Kupwara has 2235 positive cases with 618 active, 1564 recovered, 53 deaths; Bandipora has 2318 positive cases with 697 active positive, 1595 recovered, 26 deaths and Ganderbal has 1609 positive cases with 397 active cases, 1188 recoveries and 24 deaths.
Meanwhile, 545 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals in Kashmir valley.
