10 die of COVID in Kashmir

SRINAGAR, Sept 24: Ten people died due to COVID-19 in Kashmir today taking the death toll in Jammu and Kashmir to 1088 while Valley reported 480 fresh Coronavirus cases taking the number of positive cases in J&K to 68614.
A 70-year-old woman from Bemina Srinagar, a 65-year-old woman from Chanapora and a 72-year-old man from Nishat Srinagar died at Chest Diseases Hospital in Srinagar today.
Seven of the deaths were reported at SKIMS Soura including a 46-year-old man from Batmaloo Srinagar, a 60-year-old woman Malabagh Srinagar, a 68-year-old man Fateh Kadal Srinagar, an 80-year-old Noorpora, Tral, a 70-year-old man Tral, a 70-year-old Tangmarg and a 60-year-old from Bandipora.
With these deaths 1088 people have succumbed to the virus in Jammu and Kashmir including 804 from Kashmir Valley and 284 in Jammu.
Kashmir today reported 480 fresh coronavirus cases taking the number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 68614.
An official said that out of 68614 positive cases, 19451 are active, 48079 have recovered and 1084 have died; 804 of them in Kashmir division.
Srinagar has 13800 positive cases with 2122 active, 11401 recovered, 277 deaths; Baramulla has 4105 positive cases with 1203 active, 2781 recovered, 121 deaths; Pulwama reported 3708 positive cases with 507 active cases, 3137 recovered, 64 deaths; Kulgam has 2224 positive cases with 137 active, 2044 recoveries, 43 deaths; Shopian has 1970 positive cases with 203 active, 1737 recovered, 30 deaths; Anantnag district has 3380 positive cases with 412 active, 2906 recovered, 62 deaths; Budgam has 4595 positive cases with 1487 active and 3028 recovered, 80 deaths; Kupwara has 3346 positive cases with 826 active, 2456 recovered, 64 deaths; Bandipora has 3274 positive cases with 749 active, 2491 recovered, 34 deaths and Ganderbal has 2740 positive cases with 611 active cases, 2103 recoveries and 26 deaths.
An official said that 589 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals Kashmir Division.
