JAMMU, Jan 20: Ten persons including a CRPF Constable were injured today in three separate road mishaps in this winter capital of the State.
According to a police spokesperson, seven passengers were injured when two mini-buses bearing registration numbers JK02BM-7927 and JK02AN-7279 collided head on with each other at Canal road near Pawan Ice Cream. The injured were immediately shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu for treatment.
The injured have been identified as Ajay Kumar (20) son of Lali Ram of Paloura, Inderpal (45) son of Ram Lal of Barnai, Anju Devi (28) daughter of Tej Ram of Bantalab, Jyoti Rani (28) daughter of Tejpal Singh of Paloura, Sukhdev Singh (35) son of Naag Singh of Barnai, Jagdish (30) son of Chuni Ram of Vijaypur and Rajni (25).
A case in this connection has been registered at police station Nowabad and both the vehicles involved in the mishap seized. However, drivers of both the vehicles managed to escape from the spot.
Meanwhile, at National Highway near Manda area falling within the limits of police post Panjtirthi, a CRPF cop identified as Constable Darshan Singh (35) son of Daleep Singh, a resident of Mahore, who is presently posted at a CRPF Battalion in Katra, injured in a road accident. He was also shifted to GMCH for treatment.
Another mishap occurred tonight at Amphalla, where a bus hit a car. In the mishap, two occupants of the car namely Mamta Pawar (40) wife of Madan Pawar of Pacca Danga and his son, Rishi Pawar (11) received injuries. Both, mother and son were shifted to GMCH for treatment.
