KISHTWAR, Aug 12: Forest team from Kishtwar Division today removed encroachment from the forest land in Trigam block near Shalamar and retrieved 10 kanal forest land.
The forest team led by DFO Kishtwar conducted raid at Siklai compartment 60/K and cleared 10 kanal forest land. The land grabber had raised stone wall to encroach upon the Forest land. It was smashed and the area got cleared.
In yet another operation, the forest team seized 35 scants of timber (Deodar and Kail) from the house of one Surinder Kumar at Sarthal today. A case was registered in this connection.
