GUNA (MP): Ten people, including a toddler, were killed and 47 others were injured when their bus rammed into a stationary truck in Guna district of Madhya Pradesh early today, a police official said.
The private bus was heading to Ahmedabad in Gujarat from Banda in Uttar Pradesh when it hit the truck’s rear side near Ruthiyai town around 4.30 am, Guna police station in-charge Vivek Asthana told PTI.
The truck was parked on a road due to a technical issue.
Seven persons, including the bus driver, died on the spot while three others succumbed in the district hospital, Asthana said.
The deceased comprised nine men and a one-and-a-half-year-old girl.
The injured were admitted to the district hospital. Three of the injured persons were stated to be serious, he said. (AGENCIES)
