JAMMU, Mar 4: In order to curb the menace of black-marketing of LPG cylinders and use of polythene bags, a surprise raid was conducted in RS Pura town by a team headed by Tehsildar RS Pura, along with SHO RS Pura, EO Municipal Committee RS Pura and TSO RS Pura/Suchetgarh under the supervision of SDM RS Pura.
During the raid, business establishments, dhabas and restaurants were inspected and a fine of Rs 11,300 was realized on the spot from the defaulters.
Ten domestic LPG cylinders being used for commercial purpose were seized and 10 kg of banned polythene bags being used by the shopkeepers too was seized during the inspection drive.
