SAMBA, Oct 23: Samba police seized 10 vehicles including six dumpers, three tippers and one tractor across the district, which were being used for illegal transportation of the construction materials.
According to the report, a police team of Police Post, Rakh Amb-Talli headed by Sub Inspector, Ashish Sharma while performing patrolling duty in its jurisdictional Pangdor area, intercepted three vehicles including two dumpers bearing Registration No. JK21E-0234 & JK21C-9000 and a tractor bearing Registration No. JK21E-3434 for illegal mining and illegal transportation of construction material.
Another police team of Police Post, Supwal headed by Sub Inspector, Karnail Singh intercepted three tippers bearing Regd. No. JK22F-8082, JK21-9551 and JK02CG-7986 at Nanak Chack for illegal transportation of construction material.
In the jurisdictional area of PS Bari Brahmana, three dumpers bearing Registration No. JK02CG-8021, JK02CG-6549 & JK02CM-8121 were intercepted by police party of PS Bari Brahmana near Birpur for illegal transportation of construction material.
Similarly, police team of PS Samba headed by Inspector, Rajesh Jasrotia while performing vehicle checking duty at naka Nud, intercepted a dumper bearing Registration No. JK08F-9581which was used to transport construction material illegally.
All the 10 vehicles intercepted by Samba police during the last 24 hours were seized on spot and cases entrusted to Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further action.
