100 delegates from J&K to attend VBKP national meet

JAMMU, May 28: About one hundred delegates from the Jammu and Kashmir will attend two days’ national convention of  Vedic  Brahman Kalyan Parishad (VBKP) being held at holy town of Haridwar.
A large number delegates from various States including J&K, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh,  Maharashtra, Odisha, West Bengal etc  are participating  in this historic conclave of Brahman community, being held  on June 10 and 11, 2017  at  Haridwar.
In a meeting of the State unit of the Vedic Brahman Kalyan Parishad held here  today under the chairmanship of  its president,  Pt Daya Ram Sharma, the programme and activities of  the J&K unit in the  national meet were reviewed.   It was also resolved in the meeting that about 100 members of the VBKP,  including  nearly  15 Core Committee members  from J&K, will be participating  in this forthcoming national level convention.
Since the  Haridwar national progamme this time is being named with `Theme  J&K’, the State Committee also discussed  crucial role of J&K in the national meet.  The members also resolved to project the issues related to the Vedic community in context of J&K State at the national programme.
Prominent among those present in the meeting included-Rattan Sharma, Baldev Sharma, Prem Kumar Sharma, Gopal Sharma, Ramesh Kashyap, Madan Lal Sharma, Pardeep Sharma, OP Sharma, Vijay Sharma and  Ravinder Sharma.
