JAMMU, July 23: Various organizations observed the 109th birth anniversary of Freedom fighter Chander Shekhar Azad here today.
J&K Freedom Fighters Association (JKFFA) today paid rich tributes to revolutionary freedom fighter Chandra Shekhar Azad on his birth anniversary in a function organized at Bal Niketan Ambphalla, here. The function was organized by JKFFA president Ved Gandotra.
Floral tributes were paid to the great soul by showering flowers on his photograph and candles were lit in his memory. Sweets were distributed among the children.
State President, Shri Ram Sena Rajiv Mahajan, Parbhat Kapahi, Chander Shaker Sharma, Deepak Sharma and Sudesh Pal Gupta were also present.
A colorful programme was organized by Jammu Pragti Manch under the chairmanship of its president Brij Mehra to observe the birthday of Chander Shekhar Azad. Brij Mehra along with Chander Shekhar Sharma, Vice-President and Dr Taran Singh threw light on the life of Chander Shekhar Azad. The flowers were offered to the portrait of Chander Shekhar Azad. The Patriotic songs and poems were sung. Darshan Lal, Amar Nath, Rakesh Sharma, Ramesh Mehra, Neeraj, Reetu Gondhi, Ananya, Jagdeep Singh, Swarn Singh, besides many others were present on the occasion.
National Secular Forum (NSF), Jammu University Unit organized a programme in Varsity on the birth anniversary of Chander Shekhar Azad. Dr Vikas Sharma was the chief guest, who along with Sukhdev Singh,
President of NSF threw light on the life of Chander Shekhar Azad. Rishikesh Rana, Qayoom Malik President JU Unit, Amit Sanotra, Barket
Ali, JB Singh, besides many others were present on the occasion.
