JAMMU, May 30: Vice Chairman JAKFED and senior BJP leader Munish Sharma today flagged off 10th Annual Mindal Mata Yatra from the historic Chandi Mata Mandir, Rajpura Mangotrian Jammu with religious fervour in the presence of large number of devotees and prominent citizens of the area.
The Annual Yatra is being organised by the Shree Sarv Chandi Mindal Sanstha, under the chairmanship of Sunil Kumar and Vinay Gupta, while the other organizing members of the Sanstha included Arun Gupta, Gandarb Singh Thakur, Sourabh Kotwal, Neeraj Gupta, Chand, Arun, Shashi, Gopal, Amit and Vikram.
Devotees from across the State came early in the morning to seek blessings of the goddess and further proceed towards their Mindal Mata Mandir located in the scenic Pangi district of Himachal Pradesh.
Vice Chairman, while interacted with Sanstha organizers enquired about the facilities for the devotees and took stock of the basic facilities there.
Sharma said that such pilgrimage provides us an opportunity to have darshan and seek blessings of our Gods and Goddesses.
Terming Jammu as the abode of goddesses where Sukrala, Sheetla, Kalka, Sarthal worshipped as divine mothers, he said it is the same Goddesses who protect the Jammuites from foreign invaders and bloody turmoil.
Vice Chairman, while interacting with the devotees asked them to motivate their children to take part in religious activities as such programs will motivate them to stay away from anti-social activities like drug abuse which is spoiling the younger generation.
