UDHAMPUR, Aug 10: Police today rescued 11 bovine animals, which were being smuggled in a truck to Kashmir Valley.
The truck, bearing number JK02AQ-4295, was intercepted on the National Highway near Jakheni by a Police Party from Police Station Udhampur.
During the thorough search, the truck was found loaded with 11 bovine animals. Police rescued the animals and also seized the truck while its driver managed to give a slip.
In this connection, a case FIR number 308/2014 under Section 188/RPC 3 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Udhampur.
