SAMBA, Sept 12: The police seized 11 bovine animal and arrested three bovine smugglers in district Samba today.
A police spokesman said that police party at Ghagwal seized five bovine animals while the vehicle driver managed to escape during wee hours today. The police seized Mohindra vehicle bearing No. JK02X/953 and seized five bovine animals.
In a separate operation, three persons were arrested by Purmandal police early today. Six bovine animals were seized from them. Those arrested were identified as Suram Chand of Majalta, Sohan Lal of Purmandal and Sethi Ram of Sarore. They were moving towards Udhampur on foot. No valid permission was recovered from their possession.
