11 bovines rescued, 2 arrested

JAMMU, July 28: Nagrota police foiled bovines smuggling bid by rescuing 11 bovine animals and arresting two smugglers.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Nagrota Police Station laid a naka and intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number JK02AA-1035.
During checking, police team rescued 11 bovine animals from the vehicle and arrested two smugglers, who were identified as Mohammd Mustafa, son of Babu Chowdhary of Tanda Jagti and Mohammad Hanief, son of Babu Khan of Nashri Batote.
A case under FIR Number 296/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Nagrota and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Nagrota Inspector Mohammad Shoket made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Mohan Lal Sharma.
