JAMMU, Nov 6: Police today rescued 11 bovine animals and arrested a truck driver from Baggu Nallah area, falling under the jurisdiction of Batote police station.
As per police sources, on specific information, police team from Batote police station laid a naka at Baggu Nallah and intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK02AB-8677.
During search, police recovered 11 bovine animals and arrested the driver of the vehicle, who has been identified as Tofeem Nissar, son of Nissar Hussain of tehsil Thanna Mandi, district Rajouri.
The truck was seized and a case under relevant Sections has been registered at Batote police station and investigation started.
