UDHAMPUR, July 9: A Lok Adalat was held in the District Court Complex under the chairmanship of Ashok Kumar Koul, Principal, District and Sessions Judge, Udhampur.
During the Lok Adalat, two benches were constituted. First bench comprised of Ashok Kumar Koul, Principal, District and Sessions Judge Udhampur and Mohinder Kumar Sharma, Additional District and Session Judge, Udhampur, whereas, second bench comprised of Soba Ram Gandhi, Sub Judge, CJM, Udhampur and Khemraj Sharma, DMM, Udhampur.
A total of 28 cases were taken up in the Lok Adalat out of which 11 cases including 2 MACT cases and 9 civil/ criminal cases were settled. An amount of Rs 6,05,000 was given as compensation in MACT cases.
