SRINAGAR: As many as 11 people from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) arrived here while ten Kashmiris crossed over to other side of the Line of Control (LoC) in Karvan-e-Aman bus service, operating between the Valley and Muzaffarabad, capital of PoK.
Meanwhile, seven people returned to their respective places after crossing borders at the Kaman Post, the last Indian military post on this side on the border in Uri sector, official sources said. Witnessing an increase in the number of guests arriving here as compared to previous couple of weeks, 11 PoK residents, including three women and four children, came to meet their relatives by crossing the Aman Setu, peace bridge in Uri sector.
As many as four Kashmiris, who had crossed over to the PoK, returned to their homes after completing stay there. The number of PoK guests decrease during the winter when mercury drops to below freezing point.
However, the number increases during summer when weather is pleasant. They said 10 Kashmiris, including four women and as many children, crossed over to the PoK to meet their relatives, adding three PoK residents returned to their homes. (AGENCIES)
