JAMMU, July 27: Nagrota and Jhajjar Kotli Police seized 11 vehicles carrying illegal mining material.
As per police sources, in action against mining mafias and to check the violation going on in river Tawi bed area by the mining mafia against the orders of the High Court, teams from Nagrota Police station led by SHO Nagrota Inspector Mohammad Shokat seized 3 dumpers bearing registration number JK05BX-5978, JK02BP-5778 and JK02CN-8778 carrying banned mining material.
Similarly, police led by SHO Jhajjar Kotli Inspector Rajesh Khajuria seized 8 tippers bearing registration number JK02AU-5047, JK14B-7422, JK14C-1657, JK14C-9867, JK02AU-5167, JK02BK-5857, JK14F-0964 and JK14C-8733 used for illegal mining.
Fine on the vehicles was imposed through Geology and Mining Department Jammu.
The whole drive was carried out under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Mohan Lal Sharma and SP Rural Jammu Suram Singh.
