J&K tally crosses 3 lakh

SRINAGAR, June 6: Kashmir today reported 1102 COVID-19 cases while 15 people succumbed to the virus taking the Jammu and Kashmir tally of cases and death toll beyond three lakh and 4071 respectively.
Those who died include an 80-year-old man from Litter Pulwama, a 38-year-old man from Kanipora Srinagar, a 48-year-old woman from Eidgah Srinagar, an 80-year-old woman from Bijbehara Anantnag and a 71-year-old woman from Kawdara Srinagar.
Those who tested positive include 264 from Srinagar, Baramulla 136, Budgam 145, Pulwama 123, Kupwara 103, Anantnag 86, Bandipora 40, Ganderbal 45, Kulgam 140 and Shopian.
In J&K out of 300490 cases, 26741 are active, 269675 have recovered and 4074 have died including 2093 in Kashmir division.
With fresh cases Srinagar has now 66905 positive cases with 3212 active, 62895 recovered, 798 deaths; Baramulla has 22191 positive cases with 2209 active, 19718 recovered, 264 deaths; Budgam reported 21157 positive cases with 1578 active cases, 19386 recovered, 193 deaths; Pulwama has 13910 positive cases with 1788 active, 11946 recovered and 176 deaths; Kupwara has 12733 positive cases, 1262 active, 11322 recoveries, 149 deaths; Anantnag district has 15094 positive cases with 3286 active, 11627 recovered, 181 deaths; Bandipora has 8734 positive cases, with 645 active and 7992 recoveries, 97 deaths; Ganderbal has 9061 positive cases with 821 active, 8170 recoveries and 70 deaths; Kulgam has 10387 positive cases with 1349 active, 8930 recoveries and 108 deaths while as Shopian has 5429 positive cases, 971 active cases, 4401 recoveries and 57 deaths.
Moreover, they said, 3099 more COVID-19 patients have recovered including 2179 from Kashmir. There are 26741 active cases including 17121 in Kashmir.
