115 kanal forest land retrieved

KISHTWAR, Dec 14: Forest Department officials in its anti-encroachment drive cleared nearly 115 kanal forest land in Nagseni area of Kishtwar Forest Division.
Official sources said that Forest department team led by Range Officer Nagseni under the supervision of DFO Sunil Singh launched operation in compartments 5 and 6/ Nagseni near villages Arkhor and Chhichha-Nagseni and removed illegal encroachment on 115.10 kanals of forest land.
It was old encroachment  and the entire operation was conducted under the close supervision of Conservator of Forests, Chenab Circle Doda, MP Dogra. The DFO claimed that since April 2015, nearly 1460 kanals of forest land has been retrieved in Kishtwar Division by the Forest department.
