JAMMU, Oct 28: An 11th standard student died mysteriously in her class today, officials said.
They said Sonia Mehra (17) daughter of Tilak Raj of Chak Jaffar collapsed in her class at Marh Higher Secondary this afternoon.
She was taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared her as dead on arrival, officials said.
Meanwhile, police have shifted the body of the deceased student to the hospital for conducting post-mortem examination and inquest proceedings have been launched to ascertain the actual cause of her death.
